"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Luke 2:14
Merry Christmas, Sweet Friend!
How are you doing? Are you wrapping up the presents and all of your Christmas "to-do's?" I am so thankful that Jesus came and brought peace. If you are going through an overwhelming season, I invite you to consider God's peace and how it can and will impact your life. In today's video, we are talking about God's peace that touches our lives and flows through our lives to others. Check it out here!
I always marvel at the plan of God. Jesus came and gave His life for all. I love that the Shepherds were the first to hear the news of Jesus' birth. This news changed the direction of their lives, and it can change the direction of our lives, too. Jesus was God's ultimate plan for peace to be experienced in our lives! Jesus brought God's peace! Let's break it down together.
PEACE
P- The presence of God in our daily lives, "Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him, With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation." Psalm 91:14-16
E- Everything we need for life, "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and Godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness." 2 Peter 1:3
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." Isaiah 26:3
A- Absolute Truth and Assurance, "For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does." Psalm 33:4
"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9
C- Confidence in God, "The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever." Isaiah 32:17
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
E- Eternal life and eternal perspective, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1
I love you, and I am thankful for you. I am continuing to try and resolve my social media issues, but God is ever faithful. Just yesterday, I walked through Target and looked around at all the people. Immediately my heart ached for them. "Do they know the Prince of Peace?" In light of that question, issues like Facebook, Instagram, buying the perfect gift, and planning the best meal, all slipped into the background of my mind. Honestly, the question hit me like a ton of bricks amid the hustle and bustle of the moment. My immediate prayer was, "Lord, make my life a picture of your peace!" I know your heart is echoing the same prayer.
Much Love and Merry Christmas!
Andrea
