If you ask my kids, “What is the best thing your mom makes,” they will answer, “green beans.”
Y’all, I am so tired of making green beans.
(Just kidding!) After spending years making green bean bundles, I came across this crockpot recipe and decided to give it a try. Hello! Best green bean find ever. This easy to make recipe tastes so good and it will be a hit at your next potluck. (I am pretty sure that last sentence sealed my fate in the “over forty club.”) Enjoy this one. You will love it!
Crockpot Green Beans
5 cans of green beans
1/2 to 3/4 stick of butter, melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
7 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
fried bacon, crumbled
Drain the green beans and place in the crockpot. Melt butter and stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Drizzle the butter mixture over the green beans. Bake on high for one hour or low for 2 to 3 hours. Add bacon during the last 30 minutes and stir.
